We are teaching our son the art of saving for the future. We are allowing him to decide how to save his money, what to save it for, and when to spend it…with guidance, of course. You don’t just let a child run around with their own money and go willy nilly. You teach them about how to buy silver coins, invest in accounts with high returns, balance a check book, make correct decisions about what is worth buying or saving to obtain… and so much more.

Raising a man
Me: I think I want to go to Homemakers today, so we need to be out of here by 10.
Little Man: tenish? What do they do at homemakers.
Me: I dunno. I’ve never been. I guess they do crafts and talk.
Little Man: Hmm. Well a little talking can be good, but too much talking is boring.

Little Man: Why do I smell fish?
Me: That’s not fish, it’s eggs.
Him: I guess the egg smell was just covering up your smell that smells good all the time!

MY CAMERAAAA!!
I was taking video of my wonderful friend preaching on Friday night with my camera…it worked great. I continued on to take a few pictures of the night and after the next to last picture, the camera leaned over and the knob on top POPPED RIGHT OFF! It was like a bottle cap. It didn’t make a snapping sound, it just fell off. I was about to cry right there in the middle of service, which is only really appropriate when the preacher is not at a pause in his sermon LOL. So now I am here with nothing but a camera phone, wishing that I had my real camera fixed. 
It almost makes me want to switch up to sony cameras and see if they will last longer. I just got this one 2 Christmases ago, I believe. I have to look and make sure the warranty is still in effect so I can get a new one!
Missing people
I am going to have to set up something…a web conferencing system or SOMETHING so I can keep in contact with people! I am missing bunches of you like crazy and text messaging doesn’t always cut it! Just know you all are on my mind, and I am praying for you !!! <3
One day soon
I am going to have to sit down and tackle a blog to revamp and rework. This is probably the first one to get redone. I have to do it soon, since I will only be getting more busy with time. I know how much time it takes to redesign and recategorize a blog. I have done it a number of times before, but it was when I had UNLIMITED amounts of time to deal with. Now I have a lot more on my plate. I am wondering what color scheme I will go with next…probably something much lighter than the current black theme. We shall see!
Guitar pickup issues
I got my acoustic a nice little Dean Markley Pro Mag edition for a great price thinking “wow this awesome transducer is just what I needed! and what a price!” …. only to have it crash and burn on me 2 Sundays of worship! The hum *they called is a 60 cycle hum* was being produced by this horrific Pro Mag!!! So I ended up taking it to the store to get a different one, even if it meant spending more money, since this one was obviously not going to cut it. Learning never ends
SOOOO I have been pretty challenged by the new acceptance onto the worship team at our new church. I have never played in a worship team before, but I have lead *voice only* and been part of other worship teams *voice only* and done worship alone *voice with guitar*. Now, I am having to stretch the boundaries of my guitar knowledge and learn more about the chords that I DON’T know as of yet. It’s a good stretching, though. I spend all week preparing for Sunday. This Sunday, I have an extra song to sing with my friend for communion. I will NOT be playing that one *LOL*

WOW I just saw THE CUTEST mugs EVER!!!! It’s 2 mugs that make up 1/2 a heart each with you and your love’s name written on each cup!!! ADORABLE! They also have birthday gifts for girls that are pretty. I have some birthday girls that would really love some of the things I could get from there. Especially since everything is personalized. There is just something about a gift with your own name on it. I have a rare name for the USA, so having anything with my name on it is a precious treasure.
