Waiting to hear back

Meanwhile, I am waiting to hear back from the insurance company to see if we will be able to get NY health insurance for our family. I know that there are other programs in the area, and some that are like medicare supplement plans. I just have to hope that they let us in and are able to give us a really good rate. We need dentistry, glasses for the guys, and of course regular checkups for everyone. Pray :D

My finger still hurts

I slammed it in a door about a week ago, and it is still swollen and hurting. I hate it, because it makes it difficult to do things, including typing. I have to be really careful not to injure it even more. Thankfully, I can find other ways to do most things without using the finger, but writing is worse than typing. I have a lot of writing to do for this upcoming class of ours, and it is SOOO painful! AUGH! I hope it hurries up and mends so I can move on with my life LOL!

Oh and a small scare

I don’t wear two diamond rings like most people for my wedding finger. I only have one ring that looks like two. I had taken it off to do the dishes, and figured that since my hubby did dishes this last time that he may have moved my ring as he has done before… but it wasn’t where he would normally put it. I was so relieved to find it in my pants pocket! Sometimes it gets into the corner of the pocket where it’s hard to tell if anything is there. I normally don’t put it there, either. It’s usually in plain sight right on the top shelf that stares back at you when you do dishes. Alas, I was absent minded the last time I did the dishes and just shoved it in my pocket. Thank God I found it!!!!

Relaxing Day with the Boys

Although I did get a sort of disturbing message today through a friend, we were able to enjoy our day together as a family. I had a lovely nap in my chair while the guys played Pirate Lego video game, then I took my turn playing while the hubby slept. Mind you, when this whole thing began we were all wide awake *lol*. We also watched some tv together and generally enjoyed each other’s company. It’s a rare occasion that we get to sit stark raving still all day and do only what we FEEL like doing.

I was able to finish a knitting project and get myself ready for worship team tomorrow. I was going to work more on my household notebook project, but that was a bit too much thinking on my day off *haha*. We had a lovely dinner and now it’s after bed time for four son, who is already knocked out in his bed. LOVELY day :D Thank the Lord!

SOOO HOT

It’s been so stark raving hot here! Yesterday it was over one hundred with the humidity. I have found that the best fat burners include going outside and walking across the street. You will definitely leave most of yourself behind in puddles! I feel bad for my husband. Even inside the buildings here, it is still at least 88 degrees and he is so sweaty when he gets home!

Changing the theme

I can’t seem to find another theme that I like enough to switch to it now. It’s weird. There used to be sooo many that I couldn’t choose. It makes me feel a little sad :( Any suggestions?

So comfy

So what has me sitting here thinking aboutvictoria’s secret coupons? The fact that their clothes are so comfortable! Yeah, I said CLOTHES. I adore their clothes. They have a comfort factor above the norm, I believe. I know I like lounging around in my VS pajama stuff. It’s just one of the luxuries of life … to be able to lounge for an hour before the child gets up, before my coffee cup hits bottom, and quiet time with myself and the Lord ceases for the most part for the day. *sigh*

Deep Sea Fishing

So I went on a nice relaxing fishing trip with my hubby and 2 other guys from church. Our boat was called Dreamcatcher. We had an awesome time, even though the fish weren’t being very nice!

We could have had a boatfull of crabs if we wanted, but the bass and blue fish were trying to ignore us. We caught a glimpse of a pretty blue fish as it bit the line and took the bait, hook and all. I had a striped bass halfway to the boat before it spit out the bait. The boat hand had one, and so did the captain, but no dice.

We had perfect weather, a beautiful day, no sea sick sailors, and a lovely ride. The sunset was pretty, too.

Fishing w the guys

Now the fisherwoman’s blood is pumping hard through my veins. I want to get back into fishing like I used to!
