I keep getting emails for saving the date to various upcoming events. I wonder, whatever happened to the traditional save the date cards that used to come through the mail. Getting one of those is a rare treat. I love the artistry people put into these, as well as the thought and style. It gives an insight as to who the person is that is sending the card. The last one I got was for a baby shower. Adorable and sweet. I hope it doesn’t become a lost art.

We just hung out yesterday as a family. We didn’t go anywhere or do anything. We just relaxed together at home. The fun part was that we had decided NOT to go see fireworks, only to find that the neighborhood provided plenty of them that we could see from our windows! We saw at least 4 different displays last night, nearly one per window in the house. That was really fun. It was like watching tv through the window LOL! We ended together sighing a happy sigh and drifting off to sleep. Great day!
