I am still waiting for word on what DID actually occur in the courthouse yesterday, as there has only been mention of the march in Jena, Louisiana. I was just reading Justice in Jena site, and they have stories and video on what transpired outside the courthouse yesterday. I must say that I am rather pleased with the turnout, only wishing I was part of the throng.

In a way, we were…those of us who took the time to blog about the injustice.

The first carnival was a success. The next Carnival of Injustice is already shaping up well for the first Friday in October. The main focus will be injustices toward children. I am sure I will have plenty of entries for that.

Has anyone heard what actually happened in the courtroom yesterday?

Okay so I wanted to make sure that everyone got over to Colleen’s blog and read about all the Boring Day Carnival entries there. It’s going to be pretty neat. Unfortunately I will have to read them all when I get back, but I am sure everyone’s entries will be great!

First thing in the morning I get a cup of something, usually coffee and do work for about a half hour


at around 8am it’s time for the dog to go and do his doodie

crud! now I am going to have to change my pants *mutter mutter wet grass mutter mutter*

when I get back the kid is just waking up

and watching his favorite shows

breakfast time soon after that followed by some school stuff, but I will spare you that…or you can run over to his blog and check it out.

it just happens to be laundry day

lunch then a pit stop for the pup.

it’s a nice day so we will do some plane watching

and some bike riding

while the dog looks on in pouting jealousy

we all gotta go sometime

finally returning inside for the night, the dog takes a nap

momma gets to dust

then vacuum all the dog hair up…

cook dinner…

and wash the dishes. sometimes I even have to…

take out the trash. this is while the kid is either playing, doing his school stuff or

the kid gets put to bed then the mutt gets one more walk before I get to

relax and read a book before I go to bed.

see hubby and spend time with him before

lights out.

I am looking forward to seeing how this whole thing goes down. There are a lot of great bloggers being featured on the site. Lot of my friends are on the roster as well as some pretty well known blogs like Lifehacker and Problogger.net. There are over 20 different categories including Worst Blog of all time. I really hope I don’t get nominated for that category. I think my heart would stop. I wonder which blog will be the best blog of all time. I haven’t been nominated for htat one, either, but my friend Scorpy has. Make sure you vote for her blog, too.

The winners of the blog awards will be announced at the PostieCon conference in June. Too bad I won’t be there to hear them.

Oh gosh, now what? What will I make? Cornbread for dinner sounds good but fritters for breakfast. MMM. Yeah. I think that is the plan. How will I make the fritters? Very simple. I use the same basic pancake recipe that I used in my apple pancakes and just substitute apple for corn… and DON’T put it in the blender. You want all that kernely goodness intact. That’s what makes the texture so very special.

OR I might just try this other recipe and get my fat calories in for the day.

God I love southern food! I really do want to move there. Real estate is looking mighty good for moving down south…but more on that later.

How do you wash all that down? Not with a glass of milk or juice NO!!!
You have to make some genuine iced tea.

I prefer sun tea, but since the sun produces all these harmful rays now, I’m not trying to make sun radiation tea and start glowing from drinking it.

I make my tea like my mom makes hers. First you take about 6 tea bags and put them in some water in a glass pot on the back burner of the stove *yes it has to be that specific*. Boil it till the water get nice and permeated with the tea leafy goodness. Let the pot cool down a bit, find a pitcher to pour it into. Once the pitcher is found, you can pour your tea on in there and give it a good 3 cups of sugar *or more. I like mine sugary* Stir. Chill the pitcher in the back of the fridge for a few hours and VOILA your tea is done. Serve with a few ice cubes and you are golden.
