You ever go through an art gallery that has moving picture art? Have you ever seen the types of screens that look seamless, but have ever changing art projects on them? I have, but I never realized that there was such thing as video wall rentals so you could get them for any type of event. I have to wonder what this type of presentation would do for our business. I wonder if it would help it to explode by leaps and bounds. I mean, it is pretty impressive to see a full presentation on a wall in that fashion. Something to think about when we do our full business briefings.

Sometimes I am not in the mood to figure out my own logo. There are sites online that do easy, custom logo design for low prices. You can try this particular one out. I made this logo design in less than 5 minutes:

Photobucket

Simple, yet effective. There are a large number of graphics and fonts to choose from. You can change the colors of every part of the logo. It’s a great way to get your brand out quickly and professionally without a heaping load of expense.

It’s crazy to have to be a “grown up” and figure out all the different things you need to make sure you are financially secure. Right now I have to find out how much our term life insurance quotes us for the whole “in the event we need to cash this out” scenario. I am in the process of finding every bill we ever paid, every receipt we ever got… it’s a daunting task. I hope that I can find enough paperwork to get us a baseline for what we have to do in the coming months.

I was just made aware that you can look up where your stimulus check is located. Take a gander at this link from the IRS. Mine is apparently coming in paper check form because I didn’t pay my fees up front. Oh, joy and rapture. I hope it doesn’t go to our old address *doh*.

I used to talk alot about a company I work for called PayPerPost. They were the talk of the blogosphere with their new innovations on how to make money online with just a blog and a brain. I thought it was pretty cool, myself. Being a stay at home mother, it’s hard to see your spouse go to work and come home every day so tired because he is the sole provider.

In the same spirit, I decided to stick with PayPerPost as they launch their brand new social media blogging platform called SocialSpark. It’s the same premise as PayPerPost, but with a lot more UMPH. Right now it’s in Alpha testing, so that means people like myself can try out the system before they launch it officially for the rest of the world.

I am able to add my blogs, socialize with other bloggers, choose the opportunities that suit me, and sell my brand. What brand? My blogs, of course. I am finally able to market my talents in a cohesive Web 2.0 environment that allows advertisers to be bloggers, bloggers to be advertisers, and everyone to strike up conversation in the process. It’s revolutionary! No other blog for pay platform is like it.

What does that mean for me as a mother? More time to play with my son, more supplies for homeschooling, more money to help support our household and take him on special trips, and more connections to other mothers like myself. It’s not easy to get involved with other mothers who have similar goals and lives. This is the easiest way I have found in order to make sure I am enriched both monetarily and socially…all from the comfort of my own living room!

Check it out, sign up for the mailing list so you can be one of the first to get in as soon as it’s ready for public consumption!

Ever pay attention to the little televisions some places have with advertisements being shown on them in the store? I was thinking about the usefulness of digital signage for things like podcasts. If I wanted to show off my podcast, couldn’t I put it on a television like those in Walmart. People often write down the web addresses of things they are interested in from those presentations. They also capture a person’s attention moreso than a flyer or a business card. What do you all think?

Got our taxes (some of them) back today. Glad that I can finally go shopping WHOOHOO. Ordered my Creative Knitting magazine today. That was a present from Christmas that Hubby just gave me. I have a ton of other things I have to do, pay on, and deal with but I am just glad we have it so we can get things done.We got back a bit more than we had been estimated to get, so that was a nice surprise, too.

The apartment in which I live is awesome. I love the space we have. The only things I would upgrade are the storage and having a place that I can carve out just for an office. I need one spot where I can have a number of filing cabinets, modern office furniture, computers, phones, and nothing but the things I need to focus on when I work. It’s rather distracting to have the television going, the kid running around in circles, and the dog sniffing around for food all the time. I love working at home, but sometimes it is just nice to have that one spot that you can call your work zone.
