I’m not big on making myself known as one specified race, really. I don’t truly identify with any single one part of myself, but being a MINORITY at all in this instance makes me proud today. We have overcome, this is the day.

The Inauguration is today
I am watching right now. He is in the limo, just fresh from church. I keep praying and praying and praying for his safety. I wish I could have actually been there, but I am glad to be in the land of the living just to watch it at all. You can see it on cnn.com/live or any channel on tv.
Christmas was awesome
We had such a good time. On the 23rd, we opened all our family presents. On the 24th, we headed over to my mom’s early in the morning to spend the entire day with her and the rest of my family. That night, we headed over to the in-law’s house to rest up and spend time with them the next day. Everyone met for the party on the 25th at my sister-in-law’s house. We ended the night by coming home and collapsing in the living room

Feasting with the ‘rents
It’s a shame that I won’t have my camera till later this week *I hope* because tonight would have been a fantastic night to try it out. My parents, sister, and her boyfriend all came over for the belated T-day feast. We had a great time. My son was being himself, like always, and making everyone laugh. My niece was here for the first time. She seemed to be comfortable just relaxing in the living room. We had cake, sweet potato pie, turkey, mashed potatoes, greens, cabbage, corn, cookies, and gravy. Everything turned out so well. I am really happy that they got a chance to come over and spend a few hours with me. They left around 9:30pm.

My LITTLE sister has announced that she is now 7 weeks pregnant!
I am also going to be church auntie to two beans that my worship team leader is carrying. That’s right, she is having TWINS.

Found my electronic bible!
But it needs new batteries. I was always in the general area of the bible, but I never put it together in my head that the thing could have been inside my knitting case. Lo and behold, I go digging for knitting notions and find amongst the yarn my long lost electronic bible! YAY!! Thank the Lord! I really thought I was going to have to tell my sister in law that I lost her 100$ present. The last time I used it, it was while I was knitting (last winter), so I thought it was with my other notions. I mean, I only have like 3 places I put them. So glad that in digging a bit deeper into my knitting things I found it. I prayed more than once that I would..it was more of a constant prayer that it would be recovered. Thank you Jesus!
