Last night at the coffeehouse

I did alright, not my best or anything. No one noticed, so it was okay. We did get to hang out with my inlaws for a while *his sister and her hubby*. My son got to play with his cousins all day, and it was a fun time. We got our music mojo back on again and are planning a come back album *hopefully* to be released in the near future. Talk about awesome :D

October first Pushing Daisies Returns!!

You read right! My favorite show of ALL TIME is coming back to ABC! I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for it since November last year. I totally adore the show. I probably will do a countdown to the day by watching all the previous episodes online first. I can hardly contain my glee.
Anyone else been wishing for the show to return? I am so excited! In honor of the show, I have made this ticker to countdown to the day.

Rocking out so hard

I can barely type. I adore this group:

Gearing up

Today we finish shopping for all the things my fighter will need for his battle. Last night we got his underarmour. Today I get to customize that with the patches I bought for just this moment.

I don’t know about you, but I surely wouldn’t want to see this guy standing across the ring from me.

Let’s get it on!

So it’s official. My husband is fighting this Saturday in Smyrna Delaware. It will be his first ever amateur Mixed Martial Arts battle. He does have black belts in other arts, but this is the first time using them all in the big arena. There is a cage, referees, and pricey tickets. I have to video the entire thing. I am scared for the other person. My husband is chomping at the bit to get in there and battle already. I am already in awe of his ability just in training. I can just imagine how much more skilled he will look in the ring.

Shopping shouldnt take so long

A simple run to the dollar store became a bit more complicated once I found out that they had NO chalk in the entire width and breadth of the store. I did pick up books for the Boy to jump start us into our easy summer program of learning. So I had to run ourselves from the relatively close dollar store all.the.way down to the Mart of Wal.

Their little pack of sidewalk chalk is totally overpriced. I can see $1.50, but not nearly $3. Their manuscript writing pads were ridiculous, too. They have some they call “2-3 grade” paper which has thinner lines than the 1st grade paper…and it costs a full dollar more. WHAT???

I guess I nearly wet myself when I saw the prices, cuz all of a sudden I had to use the facilities. Ergh. I ended up getting 2 packets of regular sized chalk (2 packs of 12 are now 72 cents each color or white) and deciding to just make copies of his manuscript paper at the library. It costs me less to make a full book of pages than it does to buy them already made.

At least Pe-psi was on sale *smh*.

So You Think You Can Dance Season 4

It’s shaping up to be a great bunch going through to Vegas. I hope a lot of them can stay in for the actual competition. My favorite quote of Episode 3 is when Nigel said:

“there’s more pops in my breakfast cereal”

LOL !!! HILARIOUS! I am still watching the episode, so there might be more, but that one made me nearly fall out of my chair.
