Bucket O' Bulletz

One of my online youth group kids is now in college. My baby has grown up! For the last 3 years we have chatted online for hours about life, love, and everything in between. Now he is a full fledged college student! I got to witness through email his journey to the city. Between he and his movers New York didn’t realize they were receiving such a gem. He is an awesome guy and I know he will do great in college. He is close enough to me now that we could possibly meet in person one day soon! I am so excited! Have fun in college Sam…but not too much fun

Today was the day for Church. We had a guest preacher and I was slated to sing in the worship team aka choir. It went really well. I was really happy to be able to sing a few of my favorites.

The preacher spoke about Unity in the body of Christ as well as in relationships. Good stuff.

Afterwards, I made a point to ask a girl who I had been chatty with on and off to come over for the afternoon. She did make it and only just left with her son. Our children get along famously. We had good times, good talk, good food, and good fellowship. Talking on the things of God with another woman who is so much like me was fun. I hope we can do it again soon

Yesterday, in celebration of my grandmother’s birthday (RIP) I went out with my buddies Brenna and Lisa to their weekly trivia night up at:

There I was able to meet the lovely friends of Bren who I have heard about for years:

And meet up with an old friend I haven’t seen since like 1997:

Whereupon we had giggles and fits till the three rounds (and the final round) of trivia was over. AND WE WON!!! We were team “Why So Serious?” in honor of the new Batman movie.

We had honey hot wings, there was a beer tower (which I didn’t have any of), a few drinks around the table, a molten chocolate cake dessert with ice cream (mine MMMMM), and french fries. The food was really really good.

There was also the appearance of a hugemungous cicada who landed at the wrong table (next to us) where it was poked and prodded into a screaming fit by the people sitting there. It had fallen between the backboard and the immovable cusion of the bench seat. Poor cicada…dunno if he lived or not.

All in all a great night that only cost me 20 bucks Thanks to the Man for sticking it out at home with the Boy, I didn’t have to come back till we were truly done, but I still made it back around 12:30am. Hope I can go again soon!

So I called my best friend IRL, aka my son’s godmother, yesterday to see if she had time to come over during her vacation. Lo and behold, we found an opening! So tomorrow, she is coming over around 2pm, chilling with us for a while, goind to my son’s class with us, then hanging out in DE afterwards. I can hardly contain my glee! I wonder if we will finally go the Chinese buffet next door.

Congrats to my good friend who is now pregnant. She tried so hard, and now she has got what she has desired. I am praying sticky prayers for you. I just know that you and your baby will be fine.

Yep, they heard that I canceled my booksfree and they didn’t want me to go without. Thank you Deb and Amy. You two have another gem in your crowns for this. I was speechless so that is why this is my Wordless Wednesday.
