Who is George Lindemann Jr.?
Sometimes I hear something or see something that I just HAVE to Google. Well, this name is one that I have heard on a number of occasions, but have never taken the time to Google. George Lindemann, Jr. is a multi-millionaire who dealt in cell phones. He was a pioneer in the business who had made his millions by his early thirties. He also became a huge benefactor for museums and a collector. You can see one of his gifts to a museum. He was a pretty interesting personality. Maybe you will want to Google him yourself and find out more about him.
Gotta love the Internet.

I was reading the new Maxim page solely about debunking common myths. One such popular misconception is that the Catholic church owns most of the land around the world. Apparently, that isn’t really the case. The page also goes into the issue of
whether or not race has anything to do with size *you know what I mean* and even talks about practical things like birds being rejected by their mothers because a person touches them. Take a gander at the page. You are sure to find out some information that you didn’t know before. Urban Legends are always a fun topic to discuss! Which ones do you think are the most interesting/shocking?

I like obscure facts and things that I should probably not know…and I know a bunch of you here do, too. I have found lots of interesting articles and sites I wouldn’t normally be on the lookout to find. One such site is a blog where they site a lot of facts and trivia that most people probably haven’t learned. There are some really interesting posts there like the one about weird jobs.
I also found the post about animals that are no longer in our presence pretty interesting. This is the type of blog I would go to on a rainy day and just read, laugh, and get to know things that I may never need to tell anyone. I recommend that any of my friends that are interested in this stuff should go and see what they have to offer.

SIXTEEN THINGS THAT IT TOOK ME OVER 50 YEARS TO LEARN
by Dave Barry
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be “meetings.”
3. There is a very fine line between “hobby” and “mental illness.”
4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
5. You should not confuse your career with your life. Read the rest of this entry »
