I found that Coby all of a sudden acquired fleas from somewhere. Apparently, the flea collar that we have only had on him for about 2 months no longer works SO I went out and bought some things to get him back to normal. I was looking for garlic tablets, but the local pet store was out. I ended up at the super store buying Nature’s Guardian flea and tick repellent. This stuff worked on contact. I am glad that I didn’t buy the way more expensive brands. This is all natural, which is a plus in my book. I got him some Brewer’s Yeast with Garlic yesterday, too. He eats them up and looks for more. I will definitely have to keep them around. All in all, it wasn’t THAT expensive to treat him. The package of repellent was $8.88 and it gives you 3 doses.

NOT my idea of fun. I didn’t know until I owned a large dog who is a HOUSE dog that they shed twice a year. Talk about EW. I saw a shaved down German Shepherd today. She looked a bit crazy, but I bet her owners aren’t dealing with the huge amount of hair bunnies that I have running rampant around my house.
That hair gets into everything. I vacuum every day and try to brush Coby every other day. That’s usually when he has molted more and it is easier to remove the clumps that are working their way free. He has a bad habit of rolling all around the floor and leaving clumps of hair that resemble peeled cigarette filters all over the place. He is also rather itchy, so he is forever scratching. Brushing him out helps a lot, though.

is that the question? Well that’s what my dog’s t-shirt says. He loves getting dressed up. I think it’s so funny how he sat still and let me put the shirt on him, then he wouldn’t really let me take it off till the next day. He still didn’t want it off then, but it was really hot outside and I didn’t want him to suffer. He also got a hoodie that says “Cat the Other White Meat”. It’s black with white writing. These items came from Doggietshirts.com. I love the items there. I was surprised that they had a size to fit my extra large dog. I was doubly surprised that my dog liked wearing the shirt so much. It is made really well and I know he will love it for a long time to come.

This morning I decided to use our new shampoo since he was scratching so much. He did really well and only tried to exit the tub twice. the only part I didn’t really appreciate was him shaking his wetness all over the bathroom. He then had to get out his energy by ripping and roaring through my house for a few minutes. Now he is all done and resting on the floor. We have another few hours before I take him out for the afternoon walk and I fathom he will be pretty much dry by then.
