Looking at the counter over on my sidebar it has been over two months since I said goodbye to the possibility of having to buy bunk beds any time soon. I keep trying not to think about it. I might take the counter off, since every time I come here I see it and am reminded of my tragedy.

In other news, the novel that I have been working on for the last 5 years or so of my life has finally taken form, a different form. It is a series of stories trapped inside one book. It is also written differently. It’s not all true, it’s not all false. It’s interesting, though…and will be released within the next year. That is, if I can continue to write as I have been. It’s going well, though. The memoirs of me are no longer being written. I can’t do it. It’s too much…so this is my alternative.

I can still see her, hair sparkling in the sunshine. She almost became the sun. Her face gleamed with tears that told the story. She waved goodbye as we pulled away, determined not to look back. It killed me to leave her there. The crazies and the drunks…drug rehabs are full of them…but not her. Why her? She seemed to be losing her luster, even as I watched her in my mind’s eye. I yearned to keep her near, but God knew that I would only enable her vice. She wanted to drown the pain. The pain. That insatiable hound who filled her eyes with fear. I hated him. I could only pray now… that she found her sanctuary. That pain would be left at bay there within the confines of professionals. I could only hope…and pray.

I didn’t take a whole heap of pictures, but I took enough. I have a few videos which I will also share later. Texas is pretty nice, other than the humidity. I did write about my trip in excerpts on my other blog. Here are the links in order:

Live from Texas
Hot Sauce and Hair
Sing A Song Before I Say Goodbye
I am back
Now that I am calm…

Here is the set of pictures from Texas.

A few of my favorites:

What’s your hobby? One of mine is Photography. You can check out some of what I have to say about it and some pictures in my category under Hobby Hunters. Now, I have never gone photography schools, but I have been able to capture what I see well enough to satisfy me for now. I do plan to get a more sophisticated digital camera setup in the future. I hope to have plenty of photos to embody what I love to do.

My mind takes pictures all the time. I am always looking at parts of life in framed shots. It’s almost an obsession…almost. Take a look at a few shots that I am proud of from my Flickr.

They aren’t perfect, but I like them.I wonder if there is such a thing as an online photography school. It might be worth some research.

Sounds like a bad romance novel, right? In a way it is. My husband and I share an undying love for weapons, namely those with sharp edges. I can’t tell you how my neck tingles, how I get goosebumps, how my body starts to shudder at the thought of a beautiful sword or knife. We love to watch the shows on Discovery channel about Ninja gear and how it is used.

ElexorienOur favorite show *of which we can never remember the name* documented the effectiveness of different weapons used in martial arts. There is a woman on there who is so fierce! I love how the show zigzags in and out of reality by showing you the inner workings of the wound that would be inflicted from different attacks and weaponry. It’s brutal, but awesome. My husband and I watch it side by side with our eyes peeled, our mouths shut, and beads of perspiration upon our brows. It’s amazing how weapons awaken such a fervent passion in us to buy more, collect more, fondle the blades, make them our own. I know that when we finally buy our house the basement will more than likely have walls lined with the beauty of blades glinting in the pail fluorescent light.

Since the first time I heard of Wallhogs, their company has grown by leaps and bounds. They were just starting to get a feel for the volume of orders they could bring in. Now, they have expanded to include plans for you to sell your own designs through their company. I am impressed every time I look at their work.

Another bonus to their business is that the people who run Wallhogs are friendly and personable. Quality products and quality service for bare minimum prices? You can’t always find that in business these days.

They offer 3 types of prints: Vinyl (which are reusable), posters, and canvas. Any photographer, artist, or hobbyist would probably enjoy having their creations come to life. I know I surely would. Just imagine one of your best works adorning the wall of your home. I have a few pictures I would like to have put into print this way. One in particular:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Added bonus for artists: by having your prints go through Wallhogs you get a discount to purchase through them and resell to your own customers.

Even if you aren’t a photographer, there are plenty of prints in stock to choose from. They also cater to children’s rooms. I saw the cutest vinyl football print for only $14.99. I am completely amazed at the sharp pictures, vibrant colors, and superior brand that Wallhogs provides.
