I think I have writer’s block or something, so I am going to do my best to break through that today.

I have taken more pictures of my updated holiday decorations, and I know people are sick of looking at my house morphing into a Christmas filled hole.

main christmas platepresent from my sisternew table with new plates

My sister gifted me the plates. I also bought my son a VCR which is crazy because they are nearly non-existent as standalone machines anymore. It was only 10$ and the plates were on sale

cookie press

for 3.40$, although the middle plate was included by mistake and we didn’t find out till it was too late. The main plate was on sale for 15% of 15$ *i hate math* but it looked like the other plates from the side and they were stacked together so we all thought they went together…including the woman behind the counter who wrapped the plates for me. It was made in England and hand painted. The other thing I got was vintage brand new Mirro cookie press…like my mom’s but better :D

I am planning on trying it out for the first time next week in preparation for our Christmas party on Christmas Eve. I am so excited!

Just in case you were wondering, I am an affiliate for PayPerPost and that’s why I have the link in my Other Links section down on the left. If you are interested in it, let me know. I have been with them for a few months and they are true to their word and function. Also, I have a button for hosting with 1&1 because I like their price and service. I have the beginner’s package and it’s only around $35 a year for service. I have not had any down time yet, so check them out as well.

I need a new digital camera because my 1.5 megapixel piece of doody makes me look like a LIAR.
How, you say? I went to this awesome play called What’s Done in the Dark by Tyler Perry. Out of a good 40 pictures at least 7 of them were unable to be saved. They were the blurriest most overexposed pictures I have ever had the displeasure to see. Back to the point, though..
Patti LaBelle in all her queenly glory was there! I went to take a picture of her * I was in the balcony * and my camera decided to have some wicked error *after taking FOREVER to come back on*. It kept saying that the card door was open. I NEVER OPEN THE CARD DOOR! I don’t even HAVE a card to put in the door! So I try and try to get the camera to take the picture…zoom in as far as I can and snap the blurriest blob of 2 pictures that I have ever seen. How can I ever prove that these pictures are Patti and not just me making things up?

I cannot be made a laughing stock again! CANNOT!! You want to see the struggle to get other good pictures be my guest. It was THE most frustrating thing in the world.
Other than that, I am a mother and children do the silliest things, like sleep upside down, for instance. Taking pictures like that are hard to do when it takes a full minute or more for the camera to decide it wants to work. My son, being a force of nature, really is comical. It would nice to get his antics on camera in video form. Maybe I could finally win America’s Funniest Home Videos. Pictures like these are hard to catch:

YOU try telling a rambunctious 3 year old to stand still for five minutes with a Kix on his nose so you can catch the candid moment and see how frustrated YOU get with a less than mediocre camera!
I have over 500 pictures on my hard drive and have yet to print any of them out due to the expense. Can you imagine the price for getting that many pictures developed? That printer will save me a lot of hassle for sure. It totally sucks to either have to wait for the computer to load or your camera to stop having seizures so you can show of pictures of your beloved clown…I mean child. And HOW do you take a hard drive with you everywhere you go just to prove you saw Patti LaBelle?
And what about all those neat video clips I could do with a camera that has the capability? I could FINALLY let my catfeesh free…I could join in the fun of turning green for PPP. I could let my postie hang free!!! FREE THE POSTIE!!!

Just found this neat looking photography community called Photography Corner. Now you all know how much I love art and this site is chock full of beautiful shots. Some of you like my good friend Sam should really take a look. It will inspire you for sure. They have photo contests, forums, articles, tutorials, product reviews, and more. Just take a look at the Photo of the month contest winners. I am in awe.
I love photography. I use my digital camera nearly every day. I am all about taking the most beautiful shots. It’s great to find other people who know how to use their camera to capture what I only have in my mind’s eye. Photography lovers like me should definitely take a serious look at this community. It’s already 7800 members strong.
