I have been tagged by Deb to list 5 obsessions, then tag other people.
I am obsessed with:
- Tea and Coffee, but you all knew that already.

Music, yet another obsession of mine. I can’t go one day without some kind of music. I have a radio implanted in my head…or maybe it’s an iPod.
- Knowledge. I am forever looking for books and reading new things. I love to seek information.
- Shopping for bargains. It gives me a sadistic thrill to find the things that I need at lower prices somewhere else. It gives me a high like no other.
- Writing. Writing is like speaking. If I couldn’t speak, I would have to be able to write. If I can’t write or speak then I think I shall die.

Yes. I am staring down the leftover corn and thinking: Gee, that would taste pretty marvelous inside a fritter. I haven’t had them in a long time. Of course, thinking about them makes me think of hush puppies. Now I am making myself drool… because the next thought is to bake some cornbread and then fry it up since I do happen to have some strawberry preserves here.
Oh gosh, now what? What will I make? Cornbread for dinner sounds good but fritters for breakfast. MMM. Yeah. I think that is the plan. How will I make the fritters? Very simple. I use the same basic pancake recipe that I used in my apple pancakes and just substitute apple for corn… and DON’T put it in the blender. You want all that kernely goodness intact. That’s what makes the texture so very special.
OR I might just try this other recipe and get my fat calories in for the day.

It stirs itself! Honest. Why would you want it? I don’t know. Novelty value maybe? BUT it is an auto stir coffee mug. I surely would buy it for the fun of having it and being able to talk about it when people come over. Yes I’m a geek and I love gadgets and coffee… Putting the two together just makes it all the better for me

The last loose tea I bought was from Ebay, but I want to establish one place that I can buy from on a regular basis. I enjoy both Japanese and Fine Chinese Tea. It really depends on the type that I am looking for. My favorite thus far are Formosa Oolong teas. I am looking for white teas, though. For whatever reason I have never had any white teas. I just discovered yellow tea, as well.
This company has a long list of teas that are available in loose form. They are set up so you can find the ones you want easily, as well as discover new blends and types without having to search all over the Internet. I love the pictures of the teas, so you can get a real feel for what you are ordering. They also have teas available in bags. The prices aren’t too bad either. I found my very favorite flavor Jasmine Green Tea for only $2.50 for 15 grams. I am bookmarking the site because I am running low on this one AND they take Paypal AND they have flat rate shipping for only $4.

I just launched a new blog called Teacup Terrorist. I know, I know…yet another blog which brings me to a whopping 10 again. At least it’s not 12 ! After seeing this other woman who had at least 60 blogs that she keeps up with on a regular basis, no one can ever say that I have too many again.
Anyway, Teacup Terrorist is all about my obsessions: tea, cocoa, coffee…and maybe a little pepsi thrown in…but mostly the Trifecta of Terror.
Do have the teabags for it?
Check it out!

I love Korean Dramas. My latest love is Pure In Heart. Here is my favorite Cast Member Yunhu. That’s not his real name, but that is who he plays on the show. I don’t know why I let myself get caught up in these things! It’s a cute show, though. A lot of familiar faces from my last obsession My Sweetheart, My Darling. My mom and I talk about them after we have watched an episode. We have a lot in common that way.

I have always been in love with the romanticized figure of Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile. At one time all I did was research Egypt, its culture and history, its great wonders and mysteries…now I just read books like the one by Margaret George and dream of the day I get to see the pyramids up close and personal. I had not thought of which cities I would see other than those where I can catch a glimpse of the Sphynx, but then I saw some pictures of Sharm El Sheikh Egypt and its vast beach. The two tone water speaks to me. I really would love to travel to Egypt and take a few weeks to discover all the desert wonders and the resort filled beauty.

Coffee came today. Two bags of it. “I’m so excited I could spit!” <-from To Wong Foo
Lookee!
It’s decaf so I can drink more of it than I can my other coffees. It smells so divine. I am going to have a cup before the day is over.
