Yes. I am staring down the leftover corn and thinking: Gee, that would taste pretty marvelous inside a fritter. I haven’t had them in a long time. Of course, thinking about them makes me think of hush puppies. Now I am making myself drool… because the next thought is to bake some cornbread and then fry it up since I do happen to have some strawberry preserves here.

Oh gosh, now what? What will I make? Cornbread for dinner sounds good but fritters for breakfast. MMM. Yeah. I think that is the plan. How will I make the fritters? Very simple. I use the same basic pancake recipe that I used in my apple pancakes and just substitute apple for corn… and DON’T put it in the blender. You want all that kernely goodness intact. That’s what makes the texture so very special.

OR I might just try this other recipe and get my fat calories in for the day.

God I love southern food! I really do want to move there. Real estate is looking mighty good for moving down south…but more on that later.

How do you wash all that down? Not with a glass of milk or juice NO!!!
You have to make some genuine iced tea.

I prefer sun tea, but since the sun produces all these harmful rays now, I’m not trying to make sun radiation tea and start glowing from drinking it.

I make my tea like my mom makes hers. First you take about 6 tea bags and put them in some water in a glass pot on the back burner of the stove *yes it has to be that specific*. Boil it till the water get nice and permeated with the tea leafy goodness. Let the pot cool down a bit, find a pitcher to pour it into. Once the pitcher is found, you can pour your tea on in there and give it a good 3 cups of sugar *or more. I like mine sugary* Stir. Chill the pitcher in the back of the fridge for a few hours and VOILA your tea is done. Serve with a few ice cubes and you are golden.

The last loose tea I bought was from Ebay, but I want to establish one place that I can buy from on a regular basis. I enjoy both Japanese and Fine Chinese Tea. It really depends on the type that I am looking for. My favorite thus far are Formosa Oolong teas. I am looking for white teas, though. For whatever reason I have never had any white teas. I just discovered yellow tea, as well.

This company has a long list of teas that are available in loose form. They are set up so you can find the ones you want easily, as well as discover new blends and types without having to search all over the Internet. I love the pictures of the teas, so you can get a real feel for what you are ordering. They also have teas available in bags. The prices aren’t too bad either. I found my very favorite flavor Jasmine Green Tea for only $2.50 for 15 grams. I am bookmarking the site because I am running low on this one AND they take Paypal AND they have flat rate shipping for only $4.

After seeing this other woman who had at least 60 blogs that she keeps up with on a regular basis, no one can ever say that I have too many again.

Anyway, Teacup Terrorist is all about my obsessions: tea, cocoa, coffee…and maybe a little pepsi thrown in…but mostly the Trifecta of Terror.

Do have the teabags for it?

Check it out!

They also have hand crafted wooden puzzles for children. The dog puzzle is adorable. They are only $12.

The only killer is the shipping is like $15. They are located in the Czech Republic, so it is understandable that shipping isn’t cheap. They do take paypal, though. That’s always a plus.

I got my beautiful coffee today. I ordered three kinds of drinks:

So those are the ones I got. If you go to BocaJava and decide to buy, please let them know I sent you with my email addy kingzjewel (at) yahoo (dot) com. I have been buying their coffees and hot drinks for a while now. I am a silver member and get ten percent off all my purchases. Dingbat me *my mother hates when I call myself that* forgot to double check the what I ordered and I ended up with whole bean caramel kiss. It’s okay, though, because I found out that my mini-chopper will do a fine job of grinding the beans up. No more caring which one I get! YAY!

As for my son…He thought it would be nice to call his grandmother and talk to her for a while tonight. He told her stories about what he was doing and even had a nice little chat about a make believe pie he was making her from the *berries* he picked. His *berries* are the mints from my mint bowl. He has such a vivid imagination!

Christmas PartyÂ

I really hope that I get a new digital camera for Christmas. I don’t usually ask for more than one thing as I am a grown person and I don’t feel that it’s right. My husby is so sweet that instead of asking for something for himself for the Secret Santa he asked for something nice for me. I am already planning my decorations. I went through our knick knacks and found some of our old ornaments and figuritas *figurines to all who don’t speak spanglish* to put around the house. I have already hung our stockings. Next we are getting the tree. My mom said she has gold balls that we can put on it. They will go great with the dining room. I am using SecretSanta.com to get everyone in the groove for the gift exchange and for letting them know where I live. Not all my relatives on my mom’s side have been here yet.
SelfÂ

*craving sweet potato pie with french vanilla cool whip* the pie is all gone

Yes! I am getting my free turkey for T-day. Praise God! Less money out of my pocket. You just don’t know! Wow…and here I was all upset…but I prayed for them to change their minds and they did!!! Thank you, Jesus. It’s the little things in life that make everything worth it.

Did you hear about my new tea? I got a new Twinings tea: Ceylon. It’s an amber, medium style black tea…very tasty. Very refreshing. I wrote about green tea on my other journal today, but this is the tea I was drinking when I wrote it *haha* Anyway, it was on sale and I love trying new teas. It is a passion of mine. Have you seen my tea collection?

Anyway, so I am excited for at least I have a game plan for the turkey now and it will be a delicious, juicy bird. I will dress it with garlic, onions, sazon, and pepper. I won’t tell you how exactly…don’t want to give my trade secrets away .

Everything is set as far as who is bringing what. I also know which stores will be open on T-day just in case someone doesn’t hold up their end of the bargain. My parents still won’t be coming, which sux so bad because this will be my first real T-day dinner that I have in my home which is finally large enough to accommodate the number of people attending.

In other news…the theme is going pretty well. I am getting to the point of mock-up and will be transferring the whole thing over here soon enough. Migrated my tech blog to this server where I don’t have restrictions…that took like 2 hours because of minor setbacks. All is well now, though. If you have it bookmarked, the actual URL is still http://tech.bulletproofsoul.info so you don’t have to change that at all.

I did a new podcast so you can all hear it. Wonder if it will work on here:

Gabcast! Just a little of it all #7 – Update: Bulletproof Network, Blogging for money, Pound Privacy

Places you can earn money for blogging about your opinions, info about the expansion of the Bulletproof Network, and the new privacy standard for Internet searching.

I told you all that I love to drink japanese green tea, among the many others that I drink. Since getting my new tea pot from I have been drinking more loose teas. The health benefits are beyond compare.
Green tea is full of antioxidants. It prevents healthy cells from turning cancerous, too. I find it helpful with keeping me from getting sick. If I drink two cups a day, I feel full-body wellness. Green tea is known for its power to reduce stress and aging.
Many people don’t know that green tea also helps maintain cholesterol, liver health, and intestine wellness. Take a look at the many forms of green tea and other health benefits and you may just pick up my tea habit.
Today I was drinking a black tea called Ceylon and it’s from Sri Lanka. I will write more about THAT tea on my other journal in a few.

Today I was looking at this site for Green Tea and found some more types that I hadn’t tried.

So far I have had about 20 different kinds of tea, at least 5 of those being green. I have been wanting to get some matcha to make some muffins, cookies, or something like that. I hear that green tea muffins are the best. My friend on Mindsay and I were looking for more yummy recipes for using matcha in cookies. What is matcha? It is the powdered form of green tea. I can’t wait to get some and try it out.
As I told you guys before, green tea is in my arsonal against the effects of depression on my mind and body. I highly respect teas and herbal
solutions. Tea is such an integral part of my life now that I don’t know how I ever managed without it.

I didn’t have any problems. I drank 2 cups of Lee’s Caramel Kiss Caffienated coffee earlier in the day. It seemed to do the trick. I got my new coffee maker so I was able to have wonderful hot cups of coffee in no time at all:

I did, however, drink some Golden DayLily tea later on when I was getting fatigued and my hubby and I had a nice cup of Chai together while watching 16 Blocks. That was fun
I think it is important to note that I had a depressive episode where I began to cry for no reason, but it was very brief. That’s when I drank the 2 cups of daylily. I was fine after that.
So all is well and I am planning to drink another cup or 2 of coffee today and see how I fare.
