I know there are a slew of you going to the Postie-con in Vegas. Are your plans set yet? How many of you are actually going? Where are you staying? I am not going but that didn’t stop me from looking at different sites around where you will be, like Excalibur Las Vegas and such. I am not exactly sure about what everyone is doing. I don’t even know why I want to know. Maybe so I can dream about all the fun you are all having while I sit at home with my family.

Where the dolphins and jellyfish play. HA. It’s about to turn into that lovely cold era we like to call “winter”. I hate being hot, but I despise being cold. It’s about time to pack up all the things in your Orlando rental home, and skedaddle. What will you do next? I wish I could go to a warmer climate in the winter. I don’t want to live in hot places year round, though. That just defeats the purpose of living there, to me. Hot in winter, hotter than Hades in summer.. not my style. I want to be comfortable year round. Guess I will have to see how much more the climate changes over the next few years and figure out where would be best to visit.

I am still praying that parents are able to get that reverse mortgage they are trying to obtain. Does anyone have any experience with a mortgage note buyer? Any tips on how they can possibly make sure that this deal goes smoothly? They can use prayers, advice, whatever. It’s been a long time since the process began and they are still in deliberation. First, they tried to just get the reverse mortgage. Then they looked into getting the lump sum from a note buyer. Now they are right back at reverse mortgage. I don’t have any experience in this area as I have never bought my own house… even though we tried. That is another story for another day, though. Can’t wait to hear about your own experiences with this type of deal.

Husby is still looking for a different job. This will probably constitute another move for us. I have been looking at houses for rent. I really would like to move up from an apartment to a house with a yard. Husby has been looking at going at least another hour north. I would rather stay in this area. The site I am searching through right now has a few nice houses for good prices in this area and elsewhere. I am glad it wasn’t about me trying to click a lot of pages and checkboxes just to get to a page with the information I was looking for. You can add requirements, too, though. They also have properties that are rent-to-own. That would probably be our best bet once Husby gets settled into which job he is going to take. I did find a 4 bedroom that I liked. It has a nice kitchen and enough space for all of us and the baby we want to have.

Wherever I roam, I want a home. Wherever you find me, that’s where I will be. Whether I be in Las Vegas Luxury Condos or a cabana by the beach in Jamaica. I am of a mind to catch a plane and go wherever it takes me… just to get away from every day living. I got a taste of travel and the bug is in my veins eating away at me. I yearn another vacation. It has become a necessity for me now. No telling where I will end up next.

I am not surprised that real estate has leaked into blogs. I was reading around this Chicago real estate Blog and found out some pretty interesting things about real estate. There are tips about the real estate market that can be applied in more states than just Chicago. I was surprised to find that Chicagoland real estate is just as upscale as New York in a lot of ways. I don’t know why, but I never thought of Chicago as anything more than a big windy city.

There are some pretty luxurious Chicagoland condos. They also brought to my attention the practicality in buying a condo as a first time buyer instead of getting a whole house. There is some real potential to begin a real estate carrier that way. You by a condo then rent it out after you fix it up and just start a trend. Nice. That is something I will definitely have to put into our business planning conversations. I love that real estate has taken to blogging. I can more than likely glean enough information from blogs like this one to get myself ready for the day we do finally get the capital together to start this venture.

Well we made it back in one piece. I ended up having to stay in the car for a while and then go lay down later on due to the pain and energy drain. I was happy to see three of my good friends in the family there. It was nice to talk to them.

I got to share with two of them what was going on…only because they KNEW from my demeanor. When my one friend said “aw look at the baby” I kind of didn’t respond, even though I tried to hide my frustration. She said that she kind of imagined that was what happened as everything about me was different and I didn’t really care to be near the babies that were at the party. My other friend was very supportive. She had gone through a miscarriage, which I had not known, and was giving me advice and much needed understanding. Even though I was in excruciating pain and highly uncomfortable for most of the time I was a the party, it was still nice to talk to other women in person about what happened.

I didn’t take as many pictures as I would have liked. I will post them up a bit later.

Today is my husband’s family annual barbecue in the Poconos. I am not in the mood to go, but we are still going. They are also having a birthday party for his cousin’s child today. I will be glad to see his cousin and all that, but after recent events, I am not in the mood to mingle. I hope that I can just get through the day with a smile and not many questions asked. Looks to be a nice hot day in the mountains today, too.

I will take pictures and such as is the custom. I will blog about it tomorrow when I get the time. Have a good weekend everyone.
