I redid the sweater I made from last season because I didn’t like the fit. Today I wore it to church. I was kind of happy today, too:

Self Portrait Sunday: singing today

So this was me today. I was slated to sing for church today. See my shiny face? I am still a bit wigged out about the newly found oil and am praying that I don’t have to get any acne treatment any time soon.

I didn’t make much progress today, since I had company, but I did do some things:

I did vacuum, keep the sink clean, dust, straighten, and put away all the groceries. I hope to be more productive tomorrow when the Kid goes for his first day at YMCA camp. I am nervous, though, because of his allergies and heat rash itchiness. Pray with me for him, would you?

Here is something I couldn’t do with my hair before. Since I want to try and chronicle the growth of my hair, I found this to be an appropriate way to show it. The top and bottom are growing great. in between is still a bit of a problem, but when it’s brushed down straight, you cannot tell that my hair is different lengths.

See that thing around my neck? I will get to tell you all about that soon enough. Isn’t that necklace gorgeous? HEHE. I was wearing my dress that I bought for Puerto Rico. Some lady said it looked sharp. Made me feel really good. I did try to look nice today!

I am coming up on my …

dare I say it…

28th birthday.

I think it’s funny how many women don’t want to talk about their age, as if knowing their true age degrades their beauty. I take a look at myself, even first thing in the morning, and don’t believe that I will be needing any anti-aging remedies any time in the near future. I was dreading 30, but I have to remember that age does not define me as a person. It just signifies that I have had a long life, probably rich with experience.
