I am extending to all my blog readers a special offer from Handbag Heaven. On my sidebar you will see a new little banner ad that you can click and receive 15% off your next purchase. They have a load of gorgeous bags that I just DROOL over. I enter their contests every time they have them, although I have yet to win. I love this company! They make me smile. One day I hope to win something, and even if I don’t I will be glad to one day become a regular customer instead of just a window watcher.

I still need to buy us an external hard drive. There are some cheap ones on Sale right now, but I really want to research first. The other thing on my husband’s mind is to get another computer all together in addition to the one we already own. I think that both are great investments. We need to set up our studio computer so we can get our beats done on our own and produce our cds.

I am looking for some smaller furniture to fit into our new, smaller apartment. It’s definitely not a space where you could add in some home theater chairs and call it a day. It is going to take TIME… I only have 2 weeks! Well, at least I know we can put the big couch in storage till we decide what to do for the smaller apartment. We are just waiting for the finalization of the lease and certificates so we can sign and be done with it. As far as everything goes right now, we are moving in on March 1st. Praise the Lord!

I was talking to my mom about the great deals I found on Black Friday, and remarking about the people who still don’t have presents after that excursion. I was thinking about getting my dad some pajama pants or the ever popular standby of assorted silk ties. That’s when she clued me in to what my dad REALLY wanted for Christmas: The Obama Coin. Apparently, Franklin Mint is the only one who has the coin AND the stamps, so I got that for him. I hope he is happy when he gets it. I think I ordered it in plenty of time to get it for Christmas.

Teehee the joys of living in a small town include that the longest line you are in is about 25 people long and the longest wait you have is for the store to actually open.
We were able to get ourselves a slew of things, as well as most of our Christmas purchases. God blessed us to be able to give within our means. I FINALLY got Garden State on official DVD, as well as some Madea/Tyler Perry joints. We were able to FINALLY get the little table set we wanted for when people come over. I couldn’t be happier. I won’t itemize EVERYTHING we got, since there are so many presents for other people. Just know we made out really well, saved a heap of dough, and we are extremely tired happy now.

It’s about that time again. It’s only been…well…like two years since I got a new pair of shoes. I need some really nice comfy shoes. If I had the mind *and the money* to, I would like to get some type of shoe that I would never buy for myself on a regular day. I am a bargain hunter, so buying Asgi shoes isn’t usually my motive. It would be nice, just once, to splurge on something really nice like that for myself, though. Something unusual that would make me want to stare at them myself…

With the oncoming re-entry to school for so many youth, it is always a concern that the supplies we buy our children STAY with our children. Easy solution: Ultimate Back-To-School Combo of personalized labels. You can get them in a variety of bright colors with personalized logos just for you child. These tags make it easy to see who’s supplies belong where at a glance.
The combo and the colours are available for a limited time only, until September 30th, 2008.
There are a number of other packages available, as well. I was personally very interested in the wrist tags that can have a child’s name and allergies listed. My son being allergic to milk, I am always afraid that someone will give him the wrong things. With that tag, I know that he would be just a little safer when he is not in my care.
Make sure to get your orders in soon. School is only just around the corner. Your Mabel’s Labels agent is Nicole Lee. Make sure and tell her that I sent you

I am so tired of having a laptop staring me in my face but being fully useless! I bought the darn thing for 400$ on discount and now I have to pay half that to get it fixed. Can you say:
NOT HAPPENING!
So I am wishing on a star for the laptop of my dreams. The Lenovo Thinkpad R61e comes pretty danged close. It’s not that expensive AND has free shipping. If only I had the revenue that I had this time last year, I would have bought it without a second thought. *screams @ googoo*
Instead I am left to ponder what could have been. I hate this.
*pout*
